I'm near Albany. I found one place that will give me bags for $310 per ton. Is there anywhere that sells in bulk? Also, I've only ever got it in bags. Where do you guys put all of it? It would have to be dropped off in my driveway, then wheelbarrowed down a hill to the back of the house.

So I guess I'd need a bunch of huge containers?

Mulholland in Greenfield Center is currently advertising bagged Blaschak and Reading for $299/ton.

If you do a forum search you should find a bunch of threads that discuss the many methods people have used to store/handle bulk coal - from plain old bins to 55 gallon drums, 275+ gallon totes, bulk sacks on pallets (kudos to vermontday), agricultural gravity wagons, etc.

I don't know where in the Albany area you are, but as has been mentioned Mullholland;
Also Hoosac Valley Farmers Exchange, 212 Main St., Schaghticoke, NY better known as Schaghticoke Agway.
I just got mine, 4 ton from Kieth Jordan in Granville.
Also there is one in Cambridge and one in North Greenwich.

Agway, Tractor Supply are also choices. LehighMatt can also advise a close supplier of his product. A 4x4x8 box will hold 3 tons.

Thank you for all of the suggestions fellas. I'm going to build a box next year and get bulk.
