I bought a Leisure Line Pioneer top vent and was wondering if any brands of coal work better then others. Thanks
Depending on you location & if you want bulk or bagged coal, there are many good names, & some not so good. I'm in Mass. & use bagged coal & find Blaschak is very good coal.
**Broken Link(s) Removed** I've never read any bad reviews of Blaschak here. For bulk, if you can get it, Superior seems to get the best reviews. Avoid Reading Coal or "mystery" coal. (unmarked bags)
Good luck with your stove...It's a good one.

I'm completely new to coal. I have A close friend that is going with coal too. Also a new found friend that has been burning coal for 5 months. I got bulk Superior. Close friend got bagged Kimmel. New friend got bulk Summit. To look at them, the Superior is superior, but the others will be fine.

Sorry, I can't help you with that question. Being in the stove business, we stay clear of the coal comparsions.
