Interesting to me has been the various bagging used by Lehigh,
I've had 3 different bag types with Lehigh,
one was the woven plastic burlap with a sewn top seam,
a plastic bag with the sewn top,
and a plastic bag with the heat sealed seam.
The pallet I'm using now is plastic with the sewn seal,
I like this the best, a little slit with the knife then pull and top opens right up.
We used to use the poly woven, we then got a new machine that allowed us to do regular plastic bags. The sewn top plastic bags are to keep up with production demands in the busier time of year. We will eventually only have the heat sealed bags.

I like the sewn plastic bags the best,
the heat sealed ones I end up having to cut most of the top on,
the sewn plastic just one small cut and it will tear right open, nice and slick.
It has all been good coal.

Like I said the sewn ones are only so we can keep up with production demands. We had others complain that they tear to easy and make a mess.

Stopped up to Lehigh Anthracite on Sat. for the 1st time. Picked up 1 ton of Rice coal on my landscape trailer that I rigged with wooden sides that morning. The staff was pleasant and helpful even though I got up there 1/2 hour before closing time. They loaded me up and I was on my way. I've been burning bagged Blaschak coal for some time because I've been dragging my feet on building a coal bin. I had to demolish the rotted old coal bin the previous house owners built. I'm about 75% done building the new bin and I needed to get some coal with the cold temps. It was around $180 for like 1.06 tons. So far it's burning well, pretty much the same as the Blaschak but obviously a lot cheaper than the bags. There's a good youtube video of someone going to Lehigh to pick up coal. It's pretty simple after the 1st time but the video helped with their protocol. I see myself frequenting Lehigh going forward since it's only like 40min. from my house and you can't beat their prices. All the other coal places around me want north of $200 for a ton & like $250 per ton delivered (2 ton min.). I think I'll stick with this process. Even though I can only get 1 ton at a time due to my trailer and truck, it's still saving me money. Like I say every year, maybe I'll get smart and pick up coal in the summer next time, but that never seems to happen.

Looking for loose and usually 4 tons is enough.

I am new to burning coal. The Agway store over in Danbury sells Lehigh Coal in bags. I am running nut size in my Chubby Jr and it is great. Very convenient, low ash. I hope to visit the mine on my way to my fathers house in York.
