Hello,
Do any of you guys know where I can find hard coal, buckwheat, in Indiana? I live North of Indy. I've had Ohio Valley quote me a price of $310 p.ton + $2.75 p. mile........ :o .......that seems "a little" steep. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

Forum member KingCoal is in Elkhart county, IN. I think he gets a truckload at a time strait from the breaker in PA, about 22 ton. Maybe he will chime in? If not, send him a PM.

Yes Don is correct. I had a TT of nut sent from Lehigh at much better pricing than that

There may be a buckwheat source in Indiana or lower MI let me look around

There aren't many stoker people around me but there plenty of local dealers

Thank you,
I found a guy.....through a guy.....that sells coal out of Shipshewana Indiana. I can get buckwheat for $265 p.ton.
2.5 ton per pallet, bagged. When I bought my stoker, the guy I bought it from said they were getting it for $145 p. ton, but that was deep in coal country.....PA. So far, that's the best I have yet to find.
I appreciate it, "The Don" and "The King of Coal".

.......thanks guys.........

Ok "Shipshe" was one of the areas i was going to check, Topeka, IN. has several good dealers too.

one of the newer ones is selling Lehigh, though i haven't gotten over there to see what sizes they are stocking.

"King of Coal",
Do you know which dealer has Lehigh coal in Topeka? I'm still looking for "good" coal at "good" prices.
Thanks,

Chris

Hitzer in Berne, Indiana handles coal. You could check with them. I don't think they stock buckwheat but can get a skid or two if you let them know.

Four Seasons also carries Anthracite, I don't think he took Buckwheat though...
