Does anyone have any current experience with Cornwall Coal? Who is their supplier? And what has your latest experiences been. Have a new local dealer in Kingston, NY who is selling their product for $ 290.00 per ton bagged, & will deliver. Just looking for feedback before I " pull the trigger" for next season.

I used Cornwall for the first two years of burning coal. The nut coal seemed to be OK but it was only labeled Premium and no more info was given. OK, I guess.

I have about 4 tons left over from a few years ago. It burned good in my stoker, white ash. Who knows where it comes from, they just say premium. Bags are really wet though and 5 years later still soaking. $290.00 per ton isn't bad either for Kingston area.

I just got delivered two weeks ago 4 tons of nut from Cornwall Coal. Used to go to PA and get it myself from Casey-Kassa but I don't have my big van anymore. I asked the driver who was the owner where he gets it from. I was curious because I grew up in NEPA. He said it came from Tamaqua. I believe him because it is the best coal I've ever burned. One 25lb bucket every 24 hrs is all I'm using which is about half of what seemed normal to me. Can turn my stove down low and let it simmer. Very low ash compared to other coals i've used.

I have burned aprox 25 tons of rice in an EFM 520, Steve, driver\owner, is easy to deal with. He chutes in an 8 ton load
once a year. price is very reasonable. The rice idles a long time with no timer, and is about ten percent light ash.
Check the website, but call the listed no. for info. Order in summer for discount!

Coal burns fine bulk is the way to go from them . The bags however are trash . Very inconsistent sizes tons of fines wood & junk .when you do get a good bag it burns great but it's a crap shoot on each bag . Sad because thier coal is pretty good .hence why Im going to do business elsewhere

I just started burning coal and the sizing on their bagged coal seems off. I was talking with a buddy of mine about how small pea coal is and he looked at me like I was crazy. I sent him a picture and he thinks the bagged coal is kind of the scraps from the bulk.

Thanks Fred! I’ll measure a few pieces just to make sure I’m not crazy. Although I never thought I would be measuring coal pieces so maybe I am!

That’s what I currently have right now for pea coal! It’s burning good though. Not much for ashes. I have no idea where they get it from.
