I suppose since coal is at such a high price :roll: ... it likely is worth all the danger & hassle of burning the shingles inside your home to reap those lower btu tar pieces.. :baby:

Rice Krispies are 7.1982btu per pound dry...... You need a lot to stay warm but they are really light.

Did a lot of BTU testing and when bored I would test a lot of materials. Many food products list the calories per gram on the packaging. One you know the calories per gram you can convert that to btus per gram then grams to pounds.
