Ouch!! Freddy,
Did you check with Bruce at Center Farms? I know they deliver down your way. With 24 tons your should be all set for a few years unless you decide to sell some to recover your cost.

I burned a ton of CSM and ton of Blashak last year with no difference experinced in quality. Price is up $15 becuase of fuel increase to truck it. So it's going to cost me about $30/40 more for the season......big freaking deal. A guy at work is selling Green Cord wood for $180 and seasoned is going at $200-225. Wow, am I'm glad I switched over to Coal.
I called them two days ago for a price and what it would cost to deliver, once again she told me that she would have to get back to me on the delivery price. So once again she didn't call me back, was looking at buying a Keystoker from them about a week or so ago and still waiting on that phone call too. Who do they get their coal from?

Just bought 4 ton rice $170/ton delivered from Scranton To Gouldsboro, about 25 miles, think it was extra for the mileage, is probably $150~/ton if you are closer. Delivered about 6 hours after I was there talking to the secretary. She said there could a shortage of rice for a bit. Also was 4 ton min, I can get by with 3 but I had to buy 4. Want to fire up the stove but I think i'll wait 4 more months.

You're lucky, Cord wood around here can be as high as $360 a cord. Most places have it for about $110 a face cord (x3).

$320/ton delivered (I believe) for about a month more, then $340/ton. From Black Rock Coal here in Central VT.

I pick up myself, so I don't know what the delivered cost is. I couldn't tell you where they get it from, but I've seen no difference in ash content and heat output than what I got from Blashak ( these were head to head comparisons).

I'm really surprised at the customer service you recieved, they've been nothing but good to me personally.

I did not check Center Farms.... never heard of them. Where are they? I tried a few local truckers & almost no one wanted to do it. I did find one place but they could only bring 19 ton & wanted a bit more per ton.

24 ton should last me 5 yrs. So the 24 ton I'm getting this week should get me through until 2018! But, after I get that I might sell some here & there. Need pea?

Price just jumped another $25 to $275/ton for bagged rice coal delivered from Candor, NY. Wish I had a dump truck, it'd be worth my time/effort to drive down to Scranton.
