Get in line with everyone who wants money for good causes..Ha. How big is your bin? holds all the coal you need for the winter?

It's 7'x7'x8'. The bottom is sloped to cause the coal to fall on the auger. I just put 8,160 lbs. in it and it would easily hold another ton. Yes that's enough for the whole season and it also heats my hot water.

I seen in my area at least, (Tractor supply) has raised there bagged coal to 6.29 a bag from the 5.99. I live over near the western part of Pennsylvania. I was surprised. To bad. But, I guess I can still save a little if I buy by the pallet. With there 5% bulk discount. I live about maybe, 350 to 400 miles away from the coal plants. So I pay 250 dollars a ton for loose picked up coal from a local dealer 25 miles from me.

Again you have to buy "on sale" I get those 10 % off coupons on the mail all the time from them. Also pre-season ordering saves. I paid $275 per ton.

Now into the season burning 24/7 since Oct 1st this batch has been great. Like previous years with TSC Coal their hasn't been any fines to speak of compared with the many many fines I got with Blazcak. No issues with any junk mixed in like wood or chunks of Coal.. Still love these new bags they use.. keeps the basement and house nice and clean.

So Capt, you still haven't been able to find out where your coal came from? Could you shoot us a photo of the labeling on your bag?

I just looked at one of my old bags too, from a couple years ago, and it doesn't say either.

I just purchased a skid of the "premium" nut from TSC today. $300. Last year they carried the Kimmel. These bags are a lot nicer then the ones i was getting before. The packaging slip did say Reading. Never had any real issue with Kimmel so It wil be interesting for me to compare. Thats all

The TSC Kimmels rice burns nice with very little fines, dust. Can the public buy (bagged) Kimmels direct from their bagging facility? Understand I'd have to pay for shipping... Where are they located ?
