I have been picking them out, about a dozen in the ton I have burned so far. I thought I had been vigilant but my vf-3000 stopped feeding so I had to empty a full hopper and pulled out 4 pieces that were caught up in the pusher block intake stopping the flow of rice coal.

Might have to put a screen together to burn the remaining ton I have, then I will go back to santa coal.

Thanks for the alert because nobody enjoys digging the hopper out. You might consider advising the source what is happening with their coal so it may be prevented from happening in the future. We are just now beginning to burn in earnest so this notification is coming at a good time. Mike

Notifying the source (Tractor Supply Co.) will be a waste of time. They don't give a rat's behind, and no one knows for sure who the supplier is for all their coal. A few showed bags with 'reading' listed on them, most bags are unmarked from what's been posted on the forum.

Here are some photos, I might try to call and complain tomorrow although I doubt it will do any good.

Some people got bags that had 'Reading Coal' in small print on them, does yours?

One pallet with a couple hands full of oversized coal pieces is very unfortunate, but it is not a crisis.

As has been seen others should chime in with there findings to get a consensus.
