I want to make a public forum "Thank You" to Reading Coal and my coal dealer (Ken Warner) at KW Feeds in Farwell, MI.

Last year I made some extensive posts about the quality of Reading Nut Coal, four pallets worth to be specific, that I purchased in April 2015. The coal turned out to be of very poor quality, specifically each bag full of water and globs of wet fines. It turned out to be a real pain to burn during the 2015-16 heating season. After alerting my coal dealer, HE (Ken Warner) personally set out to help me with Reading Coal to somehow make the problem right. I could have lived with the problem were it just one pallet of coal. However, with FOUR pallets, it turned out to be a real problem.

Bottom line: Reading Coal came through, and with Ken Warner's help I was able to pick up four replacement pallets of nut coal yesterday (10/28), for use this coming burning season. Best part was that the replacement four pallets of coal cost me nothing.

We'll see how this year's coal burns, but the fact that Reading Coal DID go the extra mile to resolve the situation to my satisfaction, is noteworthy. They apparently had some other quality issues last year that Ken Warner helped them diagnose (like how big chunks of shale and rock were getting into the bagged product).

Thanks Reading Coal, and thanks Ken Warner! :D :punk:

It finally got cold enough here in 'da U.P. eh, for burning coal, so last Sunday I fired up the Yukon-Eagle wood/coal furnace. I'm using the replacement coal I got from Reading. What a huge difference! When I loaded the 200 bags into the basement, there wasn't one leaker. The first bag I burned was magnificent. So has been every bag since. Really happy with the quality of this coal and burn times I'm getting.
