From Dale, outstanding coal. I was a little stunned that the bag was free of fines, cleanest coal I've seen to date. Not only that, less ash and ZERO unburned coal, a remarkable feat in an Axeman. I'm impressed.

I have always found santa claus coal to be relatively free of fines ... my stove burns fines OK so its not an issue with me ...

My guy was $2.39 last time around. I may stop in and see what he is getting now. Need it about $1.75 to start thinking about that.
Blaschak is always good but this stuff looks like each piece was hand washed and packaged. Never saw coal that clean before. No matter what I have burnt, there was always a little unburned, this stuff is flawless. I dug around through the ash and not a single unburned piece.

Using their bulk pea in my Axeman and having equally good ash results.coaledsweat wrote:From Dale, outstanding coal. I was a little stunned that the bag was free of fines, cleanest coal I've seen to date. Not only that, less ash and ZERO unburned coal, a remarkable feat in an Axeman. I'm impressed.
I will say though, that there are some fines and small pieces in this, but not many ever make as far as the ash bucket or cyclone separator.

The guy is a personal friend and neighbor. And he did find me a brand new Axeman 260M for $2K so for as much oil as I buy, he can get what he wants for his oil.davidmcbeth3 wrote:http://www.ct.gov/deep/lib/deep/energy/energyprice/ct_heating_oil_regional_retail_prices.pdf
