Looking for the closest place to Morgantown, WV to buy buck sized anthracite directly from the supplier. I can get it in bulk a few places that are re-selling it but they want $70-$100 more per ton than I could get it direct from Reading. Although Reading is 5 hours away I am still saving nearly $70 a ton going there to get it even after fuel costs. I don`t stop for food.

Well, if your driving 5 hrs, i'd recomend going to Direnzo.Their coal is only slightly more expensive, but well worth the extra few minutes on a long trip

I talked with them via email and they seem like extremely nice folks. I`ll probably give them my business this summer. Do prices at the yards tend to drop to a lower price in the summer or do they just stockpile it knowing it`ll sell in the fall?Dennis wrote:Well, if your driving 5 hrs, i'd recomend going to Direnzo.Their coal is only slightly more expensive, but well worth the extra few minutes on a long trip

Not all those breakers are in business anymore. The Schuylkill county breakers would be the closest. I have toured Direnzo’s, they are nice folks. Matt is on here from time to time and it is his family that has the breaker. I have never had their coal because I get mine closer to home but others on here like it.

I like the folks at Direnzo coal , I picked upped 5280 lbs last September before going to the Meet and Greet( the cost savings pays my fuel and spending $$ plus It's a nice road trip ) and I will go back there for coal again!
If you have a trailer and the time, get as much as you can in a trip and save more $$$.
