looks more like stoker coal mixed with equal parts of dirt, rock & leaves toothy

But the price is right : )

Some of the piles look fairly deep once you got past the surface crap may be worth the trouble

The add says 20 to 30 ton. And I believe it. That's a lot of coal laying there.

I'm thinkin that stuff was for sale quite a while back & people that saw it weren't real thrilled--nice post though OPR--good for people to keep their eyes open for this kinda stuff.

What the heck.....Can't argue with that price,which makes it worth going and taking a look. Ton of fines,I'm wondering if it's the spoil pile from an old Coalyard. You gotta love the tree growing up through it all...... Try doing that with a wood pile. Hope someone in Ohio that We know takes a good look at it ! :up:

This is soft coal right? Looks like a pile of mostly fines to me, but then I have no idea what bituminous stoker coal looks like.

It more than likely is Bituminous coal.
