I want to first say hello to everyone on here. I am new here. I'm about to buy a hifire II this week for some extra heat. But I first wanted to know where I can get rice coal around the Pittsburgh area. I have called a few places without any luck .
Does anyone know where I can rice coal in the Pittsburgh area. Bag or bulk. I would prefer bulk because it's cheaper.
Thank you all in advance.

Welcome to the forum Reading has quite a few places around Pittsburgh area
Hildenbrand supply in Ruffsdale is one I know sells reading bulk. There is a place in library That sells Blashak . And most tractor supply stores have Kimmels . I hope this helps

Thank you all for the help.
I bought 50 bags from tractor supply and the bags were full of water.
New Wilmington is about 60 miles from me. But I may take a ride up in the dump truck. It may be worth it.
I was told to go to dettinger coal in beaver falls. So I will call them and see what's up.
Does anyone know of a place that stocks the empty sand bags? I would like to put the coal I them .

Fred Dettinger uses a version of that bag, he may sell you some.

Call Amy in New Wilmington for the total price...price quoted here earlier was not the total price.
But never any sales tax.

Gilliland just loads and weighs the coal.I think they charge you $10.00 for the service. The actual coal belongs to a Dutchman, his last name is Kurtz,he also makes and sells furniture.I think this time of year they have regular hours, but last Summer you had to make an appointment.Like stated above I would call first.
