Kimmels Coal From TSC
Bought more, Really like the heat it throws!!!! The only bad is that there is alot of water in some of the bags. Some really make a puddle mess so I cut them open outside and put the coal into 5 gallon bukets. Just for the heck of it I weighed a 5 gallon bucket full ( Used a regular bathroom scale, probalby not the most accurate ) and it weighed in at 40 lbs plus I still had some coal left in the bag that I had no room for in the 5 gallon bucket so I weighed it seperate, 5 lbs on that ! So it seems they are allowing a little more coal then the 40 lbs marked on the bag. I know that a bathroom scale is not the best to use for weighing but with my other bagged coal one bag filled the 5 gallon bucket and none left over where with the kimmels I had roughly 5 lb. left. Also I really like the heat it makes !!!

What percent of ash are you getting from a bag? I just got a ton from tractor supply, but haven't fired up yet. It was almost $2.00 less a bag than Blaschak.

Apparently you are real impressed w/ the price--why even be concerned w/ ash content--ya get what ya pay for.
