Anyone burn it ?
Reviews appreciated.

I went to their mine outside Hazelton one year in my dump truck and got over 5 tons at the breaker. Great coal and clean as a whistle.

I always had good experiences with it, but that was 9 years ago , last time I burned some.

Never had issue with Jeddo, burned well

I would burn more of it if they would sell me a couple truckloads. They won't because there is a dealer within 50 miles. Their coal burned well last time last time I picked it up at the breaker.

I have lots of unburnt coal in my ashes, Finally figured it out, they mixing it with buckwheat, If you goto their web site they have the sizes posted there, my coal was not close for rice. Went elsewhere this year.

I almost got a ton of it today at country meadows .they are a big dealer here in lancaster county. Plus they are exactly 10 miles from my house heading west on route 340. The Jedi was $212.00 a ton I got s&k for $205.00. I'm new to the coal burning.they had reading,flashback. I hauled my first ton on my 1989 f150 today. It was squatting pretty good.

As I stated in my last post I am new to coal burning. I have been burning wood to most of my life. It is a lot of work and dirty. I got a d&s 1500 a couple weeks ago.they are built not even 5 miles from my house. I have never heard of jeddo or s&t coal. Blashack and reading I have heard of. The fella at the coal distributor said the Jeddo is harder and needs more heat to burn fully. He said it is good for the dead of winter when you have the stove cranked up. I might get a load of the Jedi my next trip.

Who was your delivery guy, or did you buy it from the breaker?

I have been to the Jeddo site and you can see the coal laid out in different sizes. I back my truck up to it and start loading. So, based on my experience at the breaker I never saw any rice mixed with barley. Perhaps your delivery guy got it from somewhere else, or from his yard stock?

Anyway....Jeddo Coal is the best stuff I have burned in all my years. My father used to get Jeddo when we were kids, and I have yet to find anything as good delivered to me or at any local breaker.

Neal , if you are saying jeddo is the best you ever burned I am definitely going to have to get some. It is only $7.00 more per ton. And the guy at country meadows said it was best also it must be so. My D S 1500 burnt 2 days on a blashack/reading mix at 450°/475° at the 2 3/4 setting. It should be even better with jeddo.

When I called the Jeddo office to explain I was coming down from CT to get a load, the owner told me he would have the Hazelton High School marching band there to meet me. That was a fun trip.

Pretty cool, with their enthusiasm of your efforts.

I buy from country meadows. I've bought Jeddo and S&T (which is Stockton) both are clean and burn hot so for me it comes down to which is the better price. Both coals come from the mammoth vein. jeddos operation is in Ebervale, Pa and Stockton is just outside of Hazleton.
