I usually get my coal from a supplier in Derry NH, but the price has gone up again and is now $335/ton (for pickup Blaschak Pea).
Any other suppliers in the Southern NH area have a better price?
Better yet, any opportunity to buy bulk Bagged (pea) at a discount?... I can buy up to ~10 tons.

I picked up the last pallet of Reading 'nut' last week, from Dodge grain, in Salem, N.H. ($295) They're expecting the next truck in the next two weeks. And I'm going back for more.

UPDATE: Dodge grain in Salem, N.H.-Reading 'nut'-fifty 40lbs bags on a pallet. Pick-up price until 1 Sept. is $295/ ton. Tel. 603 893-3739.
I picked up my 2nd pallet this morning, so 2 tons, plus 400lbs. left from last winter should keep my 'Chubby" happy.

How does Reading coal burn? I have only used Blaschak until now and it seems to burn very well, so I am hesitant to try others...

I'm an old wood-burner. Been burning coal for 5 yrs. 4 in a Yukon Eagle and 1 in a Chubby.I almost gave up with the Yukon. The first year, I threw out more coal than I burnt. I'm a slow learner, but after finding this site, I'm a pretty fast catcher-upper!
I've only used Reading. It's pre-washed with something. No dust. It's clean burning in the Chubby. I get 24 hrs. out of a 40lb bag, when it's 20* outside-68-70* inside. House is a one floor, 1500s/ft ranch, built in 1954.
When I was picking up my coal today, a customer was buying 4 bags, so, I guess they will break down a pallet. You might want to try it, if the price is right.

I've burned both .. I kinda like reading, even though it has the occasional wood pieces (they burn)...

I burned a couple tons of Reading one year, and it was fine. I wanted more but the dealer went out of business.
