Hi David,
Let me know how you make out. I have been burning Santa Claus for the last 3 years (it's been good to me so far), but I will need to stock up on Coal this summer.

Ritchie in Meriden used to sell Reading, now I think he gets it from a few sources. He has a hi lift truck so he can deliver. Give him a call and see what he has in stock. Last year his pea was Jeddo and was very good.

Did you find out who's coal he has this time around? Is two tons his limit? I would think that truck could carry twice that.

he told me a breaker, but I forgot .... his pricing kinda stopped further inquiry.coaledsweat wrote:Did you find out who's coal he has this time around? Is two tons his limit? I would think that truck could carry twice that.
BT burn enterprises has pricing of $295/ton $100 delivery for 2 tons (85 for 1) Santa claus coal
Phelps & Son $355/ton + $55 delivery + $55 "fuel charge" (this same for any tons)
Dale (203-494-0693), in Branford, quoted $312 ton + $40 delivery (he's out now, expecting delivery 2/17--I'll call back to confirm all info & know where the coal is coming from exactly prior to ordering)
So for the 2 tons (all about 50mi away) delivered:
Dale, Brandford = $664 [203-949-0693] (branford, ct)
BT burn = $690 [860-410-0747] (bristol, ct)
Richies = $740 [203-634-3534] (meriden, ct)
Phelps = $820 [860-871-2118] (vernon, ct)
(Back to Basics in Terryville, 860-589-8858) pricing was $290/ton or $580/2 tons but they are not doing deliveries currently).
And all in RI would not ship to CT.
need to order by Monday coming up...be nice if wifey would let me get bulk...but no dice.
