Rich Hill, Mo is the general location where the Bit coal (Mulberry seam) is mined at. There is a strip mine there and another one on the Kansas side. I have talked to the Kansas mine forman in the past and he was not aware of any hard coal in the area or anyone bringing hard coal in at any quanity. I would bet this guy is selling the local Bit coal as Hard coal. Most people would not know the diffrence. The mine on the Kansas side is were I got my $65 per ton quote if I drive to the mine.

Naw I couldn't sleep at night screwing people this bad!

This comes out to .88 cents PER POUND!! Or $35.20 per 40lb bag!!! OR $1,760 PER TON!!!!!!! :fear: :eek2: :wtf:

Talk about a screw job! He's probably getting it for $100 a ton too. Holy markup!! No wonder he offers free shipping!!

I've sold some blacksmith coal on ebay from time to time when I feel like messing with it. For the screwing around done to pack coal into boxes, weigh on certified scale, make shipping arrangements, keep records, sales tax etc., you bet I'm going to be charging somewhere around $1500/ton+ if you want it shipped to you in 50lb increments.

BUT ... you should at least know what you're selling and represent it honestly.

I guess Shanksters like this are successful due to his equally opposite Dumbo Customers. Maybe he's sprinkling in Opium/Heroin and they're leaving the door open. I don't think they're worried about CO or Fly Ash at that point! toothy
