I doubt it. With that much inert material in the coal, there is simply less room for carbon. He also mentioned reducing the feed rate on the stoker once he switched to the different coal.

I'm guessing he's going to use less coal with the new stuff. Too bad he has to use all the old stuff for the rest of the winter :(

Still haven't added coal to hopper or empty ash tub.Definitely seeing allot better heat, this would explain why I'm burning 11 ton a yr.

Nice looking insert stove there!

Democracy rests upon the principle that collective wisdom arises from a pool of individual ignorance. A Republic rests squarely upon objective law, and fundamentally upon those laws which restrict the scope and actions of government.

Thanks!
This mornings temp. was 15 degrees. The real challenge is coming this Friday when below zero temps. on top of wind chills are predicted. My house sits on top of a hill with no wind break from the north west. The Jeddo anthracite is going to get a workout!

Looks like Jeddo is burning excellent for you... I back to full ash tub in 12 hours, missing the good coal already.

Forgot to add the ash pail. The coal is burning to mostly a powder with no clinkers.
