About to make a run to get a couple ton of nut for my Harman sf 1500. Been two years since I've been up in pa to buy bulk ( UAE) what's the best coal now? Prices? Not worried about clinker, just want best burning, highest heat. Thanks all

Jeddo is in my stove now and burning perfect, low ash and very high heat. At this time, the breaker and scale house are open Monday thru Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. I picked up all my coal for this year( 3ton) a little at a time with my pickup. Within the past week, the price was $160.00 at the breaker.

You guys are so damb lucky :mad3: I was very impressed with the few bags of blaschak I tried this year, I don't like the fact their bags are 40lbs or the price of it either (but if anyone can get this stuff for a good price their is no denying this is some of the best coal on planet earth).

If I were hauling my own, I would go to the closest breaker that had a reputation for a decent product.

Thanks guys. I was a big fan of UAE but was told they closed. Is that mallard place the same coal as UAE? Is jeddo red ash? I'd like to get some great red ash. Burns nicer while the stove is in idle mode

Meadowbrook Coal...little more volatile content, easy to light and lots of heat.

Mallard bought UAE and have setup some of their processing there. From my understanding is that either harmony dried up or they couldn't go deep enough. I know Mallard is selling their own product at the old harmony location. It's white ash but it's better than your typical 10% ash white coal. Last I talked to them it was 13,400 BTU and just a tiny but above 8%. I think it was like 8.2 tbh. Harmony was red with just under 8% so it's similar except white ash. All I know is that it's great stuff and have multiple friends and relatives burning it. Just my personal experiences...
