Well, I just had 4 tons delivered of it.

I have very little options given my distance from the breakers.

They may have improved as the rice is nice and shiny with large rice bits with what looks like no dirt and maybe one tiny twig per bucket.

Looks beautiful but hope it burns the same!

I am going to be burning it through my stoker until next wednesday when I officially shut down for the season. Will be interesting to see how it burns and will report back on how it is for those interested. Only 170 a ton.

Please follow up with the report since a lot of us are wondering just what if any coal would make a decent replacement for Harmony.I am trying but not making much headway at this point. Thanks Mike.

Update: My new batch of American Premium Coal is burning fine in my Koker stoker. Now that it is dry on top I can see that it is quite clean. No problems!

Does American Premium Coal have their own strip mining operation...or are they just a coal broker buying from where ever they get the best deal?

If they broker coal, the consistency will never rival what used to come out of the Harmony Mine. :(
