When I was there on Wednesday of last week, the rice bin was very low and I had to wait until the large loader brought in replacement rice.I am sure this is a high volume time for rice and they are doing their best. This time of year I make it a habit to call as the last thing before starting the truck.Never once have I come away without a full trailer when they said I could get the amount I requested on the phone. Thanks
Pat

Others have mentioned that UAE Harmony mine will be closing. Does anyone know what day that will be?

Superior may be an option for some of you guy's,lets face it were not eating the coal were burning it.
The load of rice I got from Superior two weeks ago is very good coal in fact I regret not going back for more the same day.
I like UAE quality also but I am not eating it,my boiler is.He said he likes the Superior rice just as good and if he's happy I'm happy. I am a satisfied UAE,Superior and Sherman customer.

I phoned UAE last week asking about 22 ton of Pea. They could not help me, but, wished they could. They asked that I call back the second or third week of March: "IF we are still open we can help you then". He told me they do not know themselves when they will close. I didn't press for details, but I got the impression that: They are selling it as fast as they dig it and, if (when) the day comes that they go to dig and that vein brings no coal, they are done. He thought one week to three or four months.

Considering Lehigh has an advertisement on this forum that says "Anthracite coal now available in quarter-ton increments", I wouldn't stress over empty bins at UAE.
Put this into google maps, this is their location.Carbondale wrote:Hi Guys

I picked up three fourths of a ton of pea coal (1/31) at the UAE Harmony Mine. All four bins had a supply of coal the pea coal supply was probably the lowest.

Does anyone know why UAE Harmony is closing (assuming that they are)? Is it government regulations related, or are they simply exhausting their underground supply?
