Does anyone have one? I can find charts showing Natural Gas vs. Heating Oil over time, but I can't find any info on Coal.
I hear Natural Gas is very low right now vs. historical prices, and oil is very high....but as a newbie on this forum I have no bearing on the price of coal over time.
Thanks.

- Stoker Coal Boiler: AHS S130 Coal Gun
- Coal Size/Type: Lehigh Anthracite Pea
- Other Heating: Resistance Boiler (13.5 KW), ComfortMax 75
The consensus here has been that coal pricing will track oil pricing, and not natural gas pricing.

Tough to track exactly because you have to know where you are buying it from and how much. Retail small quanities are more than truck load wholesale quanities. Bag is more than bulk.
For instance in 2004 I was quoted $100 ton for buckwheat at the breaker for a 24 ton load. Last year it was $160 ton. This year it will probably be $180 a ton due to diesel prices.
Look at the threads on what people pay that year.
