Just talked to Butch. Pgh. is out of range. Asked him if he knew anyone and he said no. So.. I guess the question is fair game for the open board.
I can take 10 tons at least. Maybe if we combine we can fill a tri-axle and get a better rate.

If you have a safe spot to dump 23 tons, you can sell the rest yourself. It would be easier to pre-sell as you know, but someone has to stand up, and commit to a delivery. It is possible that you could share a full TT load of bagged since that is much easier to resell. No repackaging, no weighing, easily reloaded.

Might be interested in splitting a load. Where at in PGH? I'm not quite ready for another load, but if the deal and location is right? I might be able to line up a truck.
I normally go out and pick up 4T at a time myself. Visit some family while I'm out there. Wasn't planning on going for another month or 2.

I only want UAE Harmony and they don't bag that I know of. Also don't care to resell. I actually want 10 or 20 tons for myself. Call me a coal hoarder :=)

Coal Hoarder? There no such phrase. Stocking up with coal is just putting money in the banksmokeyCityTeacher wrote:I actually want 10 or 20 tons for myself. Call me a coal hoarder :=)
I'm down to 21 ton in my pile, and am already thinking about another TT load from UAE

You got UAE trucked to North Carolina ?
Wow - getting it to Pgh should be no problem for your carrier.
Who is your carrier?

Hay 009to099 that's the trucking Co I'm going to use($35.00/Mi per ton 319 Mi)which I think is real cheap but i'm just waiting on UAE (like they can't spare 23 tons of nut ).Keepaeyeonit
Yeah, I will order from UAE in the spring or summer when they can catch up with production. I guess they struggle during the winter to fill orders...Keepaeyeonit wrote:but i'm just waiting on UAE (like they can't spare 23 tons of nut ).Keepaeyeonit

If I want them to haul 23 tons of coal for 200 miles then I'm paying $35 x 200 x 23 = $161,000 ?Keepaeyeonit wrote:Hay 009to099 that's the trucking Co I'm going to use($35.00/Mi per ton 319 Mi)which I think is real cheap but i'm just waiting on UAE (like they can't spare 23 tons of nut ).Keepaeyeonit

I'm sure what was meant was $35 x 23 = $805 for delivery. Add the cost of the coal & you have the total.smokeyCityTeacher wrote:$35 x 200 x 23 = $161,000 ?
I'm going to mention.... Each person should call and get a price to their location. just because someone pays a particular price for trucking, don't think that price might include you. The price per mile can vary a lot depending on if they can haul something back. If you have a potato farm next door to you and they drop your coal & pick up potatoes, you'll pay less than if they have to go hundreds of miles empty.
PS I see they are just about to change trucking laws & perhaps allow 100,000 pound trucks. Who is ready for a 33 ton TT load? Yowza, now we're talking a load!
That should save even more on delivery costsFreddy wrote: PS I see they are just about to change trucking laws & perhaps allow 100,000 pound trucks. Who is ready for a 33 ton TT load? Yowza, now we're talking a load!
