Just called today for a price. 1 ton = $190.00 picked up. That's a $30.00 increase in 2 years

Harmony @ $ 158.00 big advantage if you don't have to drive too far.

Premium Fine Coal Co., Tamaqua, PA -- $160/ton picked up. Why fool around with STCP?

I would love to be able to get those prices in W.Pa., $240/ton bulk is a bargain out this way & that's picked up.

Im surprised more of the western guys arent using bit instead of anthracite at that price. Guess it's more messy and you need a lot more of it, right? Oh well...guess it still beats $3.52/gal oil. Hey, at least you don't live in like ME or something. Imagine the delivery charges on that! I deliver food to MA, and they have a lot of old houses over there. Most of the houses in Gardner, MA look like they are from the late 19th early 20th century. Single pane windows and all. They built houses big back then, and most use oil. Now there's an easy way to blow 5 or 6 grand a year. OUCH! I feel so very fortunate to live in PA when I see those houses. I cringe for those people.

I purchased coal with a pull behind dump trailer from S.T.C.P. for years, they have really cleaned the place up over the last couple of years. It is pretty clean, convenient, just drive around under the shoot they load you and you are done. For the most part I always got clean consistent coal from them, little wood in it (nut, and rice). However their prices have just gotten out of hand and I no longer go there. I was told they were buying alot of coal from LC&N and no longer can do so. I'm wondering if this has something to do with the price increases? I have switched to UAE Harmony for now, If they close Im sure we will all find another breaker with good coal at a REASONABLE price! It's a shame as I live about a half hour away from S.T.C.P., just refuse to pay their price. So for now I will spend just as much in fuel to drive elsewhere!!!

gale mining is about 5 miles north of STCP on rte 309,try their coal, everyone seems to like it.rice is 170,nut 160,1-570-668-5410
Do it the hard way. It's easier.
