Here in Massachusetts I'm getting nut coal bagged at $315 a ton $35 delivery charge so I ordered 2 ton. Loose is $295 a ton. This is at Boston coal or known as riversidecoal. I use to buy from Agway but their prices are much higher. $360 a ton and $20 to deliver. Next year I plan to build a coal bin that will hold 3 ton. I will put the coal bin next to the house since I have no basement.

Made the best score today. Went to help a friend get a little bagged to finish out the winter and was able to talk the dealer into selling all the rest he had for $3.60 a bag. That's $180 a ton. For almost two ton that's not bad. Been paying $290 and up a ton. It is that Franklin coal from Shenandoah that nobody has heard about. It burns just like the Blaschak I had this year :)

Great score!! The dealer lost money on that sale.

Anyone know any bulk dealers that would deliver near Albany, NY for a decent price. Best I have found is $300/ton delivered from Cornwall. I want about 10 tons. Building a new bin in the basement so I would like a truck that can shoot it right it. Seems like the capital region is kind of a black hole of bulk suppliers.

Lutz in Skippack:

$ 245.00/ton + $15.00 delivery fee delivered into basement bin. And yes it did involve a little shoveling to get the last ton in place.

But we are now set for the majority of the winter depending of course on just how cold it is going to get ...................

Modified the bin just a tad so we'll see just how much gets automatically fed to the auger without having to shovel near the end.

265/ton (2 ton min) delivered this year from Hendriks in Hilltown PA to Dtown. Same price as last year.

A lot less rain this year, so I was able to get them in the front yard without any issues. It's nice to have a full coal bin again. :)
