Dang, This topic seemed to get very long, LOL
Here's my current experience with Butch Bankes Coal deliveries.
I ordered 6 ton of Chestnut coal him back in the fall. He was running behind, due to putting another truck together.
He showed in about 3 weeks with my delivery. His coal body truck has chutes on the back as well on each side. They hand shovel the coal out and down the chute into my basement through a vent window. He had a chute that was about 15' long and it worked good.
The coal was very clean compared to some if the bagged coal I had used in the past. ( My second full season with Tarm 502 )
The coal burns very good compared to some of the bagged I've used. ( Reading, Blaschek and Kimmel ). The fines content was very low as well. Red ash coal that makes more heat the than others.
I have now been waiting weeks for my next delivery of 3 ton for me and 3 ton for my buddy. I'm sure all the coal delivery folks are very backed up this winter temps.
