Anyone have the new LL boiler?
How it going?
can you have the boiler with out any back up, just a plain coal boiler?
You like it?
As far hot water concern, you have enough domestic hot water for shower and stuff?
Thank you, Gerard

I have the 110K boiler It is running very well. I have a more hot water than I can use. I can be used a a stand alone unit, however I have it tied in series with my oil boiler.

How much coal per day are you using at a given outdoor weather condition? How much coal do you use for DHW on a day when no heat runs in the house? Thanks! Any pics of your install? Do you have the oil backup and have you used it?

Are you running the DHW right off of the boilers coil and then through a tempering mixer valve and from there straight to the users, or is it going into a hot water tank first?

I used 4 tons from sept to april 16th for heat and domestic hotwater. That is the same amount I used last winter just to heat the house with my alaska stove. I am using for hot water in the summer. No issues so far even in the hot weather we are having right now. For just domestic hot water about 15 lbs a day with 1 lady and 2 ladies in training in the house.
