Does anyone have any recommendations for a coal dealer in western Connecticut?
I still do not have a stove but this is a subject worth researching before I purchase a stove or furnace.
I would be willing to pick up the coal myself but keep in mind that I just have a Dodge Ram 1500 but I could borrow/rent a trailer if necessary.
Thanks!
Mark

Burn Time Pellets( http://www.btpellets.com ) has blashak bagged coal at $260 per ton. They will use a fork lift to move the coal onto your payload. Nice guys over there. They are about 15 minutes from Waterbury. Glad to see you're looking into buying a coal stove. There is some labor involved, but you will feel a difference in the warmth, hence this will be your reward.EarthWindandFire wrote:Does anyone have any recommendations for a coal dealer in western Connecticut?

Thanks to everyone who replied. The information was very helpful.
And yes, I should have titled the post " Coal dealers in South Western Connecticut" which was my intention.

I went with ct pellet out of torrington for my first yr of coal burning, http://www.ctpellet.com/ , bagged blashak rice for $264/ton and they will deliver and place skids for you. Also can get a discount on delivery if they are already making a run to the area, + pricing is on their website.

Try these guys, my son in your area said he was having the same deal with the phones at Beacon.
Depending on what your looking for I'll be hauling a ton or two bagged to Seymour next weekend.
If you want to get it from there.
Nice people at Back to Basics I use to get buck from them while experimenting.
