Superior Coal Question
This is my second season burning coal. Used South Tamaqua Coal pockets last year, and have a load from Superior this year. From what I can tell, they have about the same heat output (same amount into the stove, approximately the same stove temps). Superior responds to changes in draft faster, and lights a little easer. Superior does make significantly more ash. I would choose between these two based on price only. I would like to try UAE, but I have too much hardware on my spine to unload a few tons myself. Calling the local delivery dealers, their breakers are South Tamaqua Coal Pockets, Sherman, Superior and Blaschak.
