Anyone burning coal from Gauley Mining? Below are pics of the coal I purchased and the ash. My dealer got it from Penn Keystone. The size is a little smaller than Kimmels rice. It's burning fine and the ash looks good. :D

Has anyone ever heard of Gauley Mining or know where this coal comes from?

You might be looking for Gale Mining Co.They are just off rt.309 ,north of Tamaqua,by exit 138 off of I-81.A nice 100 ton per hour plant with their own coal mines. No old bank material ever used.prices are always competitive, and coal is excellent.

I like Gale, and have bought TL's of their product, but the bags in the photo say "Gauley", and I've never heard of them, either.

Gauley Mining Co. is based on Maryland, and it appears that Penn Keystone Coal Co. is a subsidiary. I'm not sure of the exact business relationship, but the first load of coal I got from Penn Keystone came with a Gauley Mining invoice. In any case, I just got my third load from Penn Keystone and it is burning excellent.

I have no personal experience with Gale Mining, but I have heard good things about their product.
