Just for fun, I got a price from a dealer in Wyoming,

A pallet of rice (2400 LBS) sell's for $540.00, loaded at the store. That works out to $450.00 a ton

Now we can all feel better about what we pay around here. :)

The dealer said it is still cheaper than electricity for heat in Wyoming. :(

I reside in North Eastern Connecticut, local prices are hovering around $285 p/ton. A little over an hour drive to South-central Mass (Munson) and I picked it up for $250 p/ton. A futher drive for me would be Bristol Ct. at $245 p/ton.

Actually, when my wife called they weren't sure when they were going to have Coal to sell until sometime in Oct. The price quoted is for 40# bags but I'd call 1st.
