I have always used Blaschad in my stoker since 2008 but this year I decided to use Reading due to lower price and quick delivery. The heat output seems about the same and I have not found any major debris in the coal just small pieces of wood so far. The major difference I have found is the amount of fly ash I have had to remove from the bottom of the stove. I guess this is because of the fines in the reading I'm not sure but I think I'll go back to using Blaschak next year, also I can have the Blaschak oiled which was not available with the reading unless I wanted used hydraulic oil.

hydraulic oil, hmmm, maybe that is what I smell with the TSC Reading coal. I know its not a good odor like food oils.
