Can anyone help me find out who will deliver or evan where I can pick up coal in the balt Md area? I have had to pay 319.00 for a ton of baged coal and I am sure you can get it cheaper buying in bulk. Thanks for this wonderful forum Its nice to have others to talk to about coal fired stoves.

Sterner Coal Co. Hanover, PA 717-632-1344 will deliver bulk. Phil's got a 10 ton aluminum bodied dump. You can also pick up bulk. Located near PA route 216 and Park Street in Hanover. Call for current pricing and business hours.

I buy it at The Mill of Belair or at their Blackhorse location (Jarretsville) http://www.themillofbelair.com

Their price is $270 per ton bagged if you buy a ton. Their bags are 50 pound bags and come 50 to a pallet. Total cost for 2500 pounds is $350 with no tax....

Not having a bin, I find even though a bit more expensive the bagged coal is much easier to deal with.... I'm in Towson

Last year I bought a bulk shipment direct from the breaker in PA but before that I bought bulk coal at the Mill in Whiteford/Delta. They have bulk stove, nut and rice coal. I think it's $224.00 per ton this year. It's from the supeior Breaker in PA. The good stuff!

The Mill has bulk rice or nut sized coal. Their bulk price for nut is $214 per ton if you buy 5 tons. My quote for delivery to Towson was $75 total, so total price is $229 per ton delivered to Baltimore.

I have been getting my coal from Benjamin's in North East, MD. They are about 5 minutes away so it is real convenient. Theirs is from Centralia Coal Co. which is a coal broker and the coal can be from any one of about 10 breakers so you never know exactly what you are getting. It has always burned well for me. The price as of about two weeks ago is $213 / ton + a flat $25 delivery fee no matter how many tons you get.

I am always interested in trying other sources so this has been interesting reading. I have made a couple calls to some dealers in SE PA (I'm about 20 minutes from Oxford, PA) but their trucks aren't licensed to deliver in MD.

Thanks for posting your services. What breaker supplies your bulk pea coal? Will you deliver to Carroll County?

I just recently bought a ton coal from Elligson Trucking and am pleased with the coal so far. I had been buying Blaschak coal from Duvalls in Rising Sun but the price was better and it was delivered to my house, and I was having problems with the Blaschak taking a long time to get hot during reloading.

I'll be getting mine from Duvall's in Rising Sun. Don't know if they deliver, but their bulk is $240 ton loaded into your truck. I think it's pretty good since they heat heir shop with it.

I used to get my coal from Duvall in Rising Sun but I don't have any where to store bulk coal. I buy bagged and it's $365 a ton and they don't deliver. Can't beat Elligson price bagged and delivered to my house.
