I recently aquired three tons of pea coal for FREE!!!!!! :D    :funny:  :dancing: I put about one ton of it on my driveway for a week until I was able to repair the FREE bin it came in. Since global warming has been proven a myth and it has been so cool and rainy lately I noticed a large puddle of a golden color ooze coming from the pile. Is it rust due to the iron in the coal or is it sulphur or a combination of both? I have never seen this before, but then I have never left a large amount of coal on my driveway before. p.s. it took only 5 beers to shovel all of it into my new bin.

Yep, Mostly sulfur. It will stain concrete. Do you have a tarp under it? Might want to put a tarp over it as well.
