Since I only use maybe 2 tons per year I guess I would be looking for a bunch of people in SE mass. who would like to split a large load. If anyone is interested let me know. (I'd probably take 6-8 tons)
I'd be good for 6-8 tons here in Central MA.

Hi Folks,

Anyone have any experience with the Harman DVC Direct Vent 500 Coal Stoker? Looks like a great stove and I like that it doesn't need a chimney. Also seeking a source in Maine/NH for Rice coal - any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I plan to burn coal this winter and need coal. I am willing to buy up to 8 tons in one shot if the savings are there. I live in Portland, PA 18351. It would slide right out of the dump into the coal bin. Thanks. Pea or nut or mix would be fine.

Hi All, This is my first year with coal, I already have 3 pallets of Blaschak 40# bags in the cellar but I would like to get some of the Superior coal. I can't bring it back myself so is their anyone that knows someone dependable in the Wilkes-Barre area that would pick it up for me. They would need a small dump truck as I can't fit a tri axle here. Looking for about 3-4 tons. Anyone? Thanks!

Well you're lucky to be in the town that has what must be the most dealers in the Wyoming Valley, one less since I gave it up. ;)

You can try my cousin if you want but he's not going to head to superior. Personally I think Superior has way too much ash from the numbers I've heard but whatever. I haven't burned it so I don't really know.

hello everybody does anybody know of any trucking companies that back haul to new hampshire and maine. I read somewhere on the forum to get ahold of some of the potatoe farms in maine to see if they are coming back through empty. does anybody have names of some potatoe farms that may be interested in back hauling 24 tons of coal. I live in southern nh so I am on the way.

I would advise staying away from any Reading Coal in a Harman TLC-2000 Jack. (It'll just keep jamming your stove) I suggest reading the threads here & seeing what others recommend for coal. As a fellow TLC-2000 owner, Reading Coal will make you hate your stove & coal burning. (If I could get it easily, I would try Superior Coal, but if not Blaschak is very good stuff!)

Hi all,

I live 40 miles east of Manhattan and am looking to take a run across the border for tacos and bagged coal. I was hoping to pay about 200.00 a ton. Can anyone tell me the closest breaker or place for bagged coal that has reasonable prices? I strictly burn rice. I thought about getting a truck load but I just don't have a fork lift to unload the truck or storage for 20 tons. Plan B is to rent a truck and try to haul 6 -10 tons back to NY which may or may not be doable depending on what is available in truck rentals. Thanks in advance.

Having trouble locating just blaschak. The places I've contacted actually just mix both reading and blaschak. I am alittle frustrated because this is going to be over an 4000 dollar venture and now I don't know if I can get the right type coal to satisfy my stove.
